Super Bowl XLIX is almost here!

We’re just a few short days away from Super Bowl XLIX, which will pit the NFC Champion Seattle Seahawks against the AFC-repped New England Patriots in Glendale, Arizona.  Russell Wilson and the 'Hawks will be vying for their 2nd consecutive Vince Lombardi Trophy, while Tom Brady and the Pats will be gunning for their 4th Title in franchise history!

The two week lead-up to this year’s game has been nothing if not entertaining, with accusations flying of purposely-underinflated footballs on the Pats’ side (aka ‘Deflate-Gate’ aka ‘Ballghazi’), and Seattle’s Marshawn Lynch repeating “I’m just here so I won’t get fined” (by NFL Commissioner, Roger Goodell) some 29 times on Media Day—as of this posting, we believe Lynch was able to avoid that potential $500K penalty.  Other Media Day 'highlights' included a typically gruff Bill Belichick breaking character to wax poetic on his favorite stuffed animal as a kid, and Rob Gronkowski reading an excerpt from a recent “romance novel” featuring him as the love interest.

In keeping with all the hoopla surrounding to the game, Vegas bookmakers have put out their annual list of "special prop bets", including an over/under for the duration of Idina Menzel’s National Anthem performance (currently stands at 2 minutes, 1 second by the way), whether or not Belichick’s hoodie will have sleeves, and how many times Gisele Bundchen will be shown throughout the game; 'smart money' takes the over, at 1.5.  As for half-time entertainment, Katy Perry is set to take the stage, with a not-so-well-kept “surprise” appearance from Lenny Kravitz (in recent interviews, she alluded to 'LK' being just the first of a few guest cameos).

All-in-all, it should be a close, competitive game, with the Seahawks’ No. 1-ranked defense and stout ground game squaring-off against the potent passing attack of the Patriots, and their own stingy brand of D.  But in the (not-so) off chance the game becomes a blowout early-on, there are always the highly-anticipated SB ads which everyone will be talking about on Monday!  And if you'd like to avoid all the fuss of hosting,  bring the gang to Bistro K, Signature Sports Bar, or BallPark Pizza to catch all the action!

Enjoy the game, everyone!
